formerly guellers, this top-end leeds restaurant, located in the financial area of the city, serves first-rate french and british food. the restaurant is smartly decorated and there is a good size bar area.

reflecting the slickness of the restaurant's operations is the service, which is particularly noteworthy, and while the atmosphere initially strikes you as formal, a combination of the friendly welcome and well-trained staff instantly makes you comfortable.

there is a very high standard throughout, not least in maitre'd denis lefranq's impressive wine selection, which includes a good choice of reasonably priced bottles. the only real downside is the difficulty in parking close to the restaurant, especially at lunchtime.
