ferret hall bistro

ferret hall's simplicity and informal atmosphere make you feel almost as if you are visiting the owners; the wisecracking Ron and his wife Jane, in their home, such is the warmth of their hospitality.

the basic bulb-shaped wine glasses and plastic menus could be considered a negative, but somehow seem strangely in keeping with the charming "on holiday" feel of this snug eatery. this feeling is something which is further enhanced by the mediterranean inspired menu, with main courses such as the always outstanding kleftiko roast lamb and the attractively priced wine list.

the team use good quality produce to create dishes which are tasty and uncomplicated. a visit here is excellent value for money and ferret hall is just the kind of place you can rely on for a good hearty meal in an informal environment - a fine example of bistro dining and a credit to headingley.
